George Yeomans motorcycles was founded in 1972 by George Yeomans himself in a old scythe mill in a village called Drayton just outside Kidderminster, roughly 15 miles from Birmingham. At the time George had a goal to buy, sell and trade vintage and veteran British motorcycles and parts to provide a service to the ever growing British motorcycle scene in the surrounding area.
In the mid 1980’s my dad Stephen Jones started buying and selling British motorcycles and spares using his grandads old pigeon pen and his Aunties garage to trade from, whilst also travelling up and down the country with friends and family attending shows and auto jumbles. During this time my dad met George and not long after started helping out part time during his term breaks from university.
In 1991 George offered my dad the chance to buy all of his stock and continue running the business from Drayton mill. In 1992 with help from friends and family my dad managed to buy the mill next door and then move the business across the yard into the 2 story building and continue to grow in size.
In 2007 having outgrown the mill and also having filled up all other available storage. My mom and dad then decided to move both the family and the business to the premises we’re at today in Wildmoor, Bromsgrove. Which gave us the space and ability to expand the business further.
Unfortunately in 2022 not long after celebrating 30 years of ownership my dad Stephen passed away at the age of 60. Both family and i decided we were going to continue both George’s and my Dad’s legacy’s by continuing to run Yeomans and carry on serving our customers both in the UK and Worldwide to help them find illusive parts needed to complete there restoration projects.
As probably one of the last companies to still be breaking British motorcycles we have a stock of roughly 150 tonnes of genuine pre and post war British motorcycle spares both new old stock and good quality second hand items.
We normally stock anything from 30 to 60 motorcycle’s from basket case restoration project to fully restored machines. We have dealt with motorcycles as old as a 1899 Singer and as new as mid 1980’s Triumph Bonneville’s. There aren’t many British motorcycle marques we haven’t had through our doors.
Throughout the year we ship multiple machines and quantities of spares worldwide, we provide a spares service for other British motorcycle dealers / restorers, we try our best to source one off or works parts for museums and in the past we have provided motorcycles and spares for both TV and theatre productions.
We have a very good web of contacts both here in the uk and worldwide, so if we haven’t got it we will try our best to point you in the direction of someone who may be able to help.
